Cate Wetherall

I'm an illustrator living and creating in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.

Growing up on the family farm in Derbyshire, I spent many happy hours roaming around the land and barns chatting with the cows, sheep and chickens always with a sketchbook in my hand!

Today my connection with the natural world continues with my wonderful family on our own farm breeding rare breed goats and keeping donkeys, horses, pigs and chickens, all a wonderful forever source of inspiration!

Drawing and painting for a living is life enhancing, fun and fulfilling.  I've been a freelance illustrator and tutor for over 7 years and absolutely love the imagination process, researching and realising new characters, situations and plots, the creation process and bringing everything to life!

My creation process!

Digital Paintings

I research, sketch out, transfer to iPad and digitally create paintings which I then have professionally printed on high quality papers as greetings cards and mounted prints and posters for schools and home decor. My digital paintings are available as digital downloads and also produce personalised prints.

Watercolour and Mixed Media Paintings

I can create paintings and drawings in various mediums to suit your home or style requirements.

I've written and illustrated a children's counting book 'Duncan Counts to Ten' which is widely available as an eBook and hard copy on Amazon and Etsy and I've recently launched my new

A to Z children's book -

'Learn the Alphabet with Beatrice Bee'
which is now available to purchase by clicking here!
